John H. Dill III, aka Dill, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans design, photography, music, and illustration. Born near Boston and raised in the Caribbean, first in St. Thomas and then in Puerto Rico, he grew up in a close-knit family surrounded by the beauty and ever-changing rhythm of island life and culture. Those early years carried a sense of impermanence, and experiences of vision challenges from premature birth sparked a lasting sensitivity to perception.
He studied marketing in college and started his career in that field, but after his father’s passing, he returned to school for graphic design and felt inspired to shift fully into creative work. Since then, he has launched his own design studio, built a photography practice, and sustained a long-standing DJ career.
In 2017, after stepping away from DJing due to hearing issues, Dill began a daily ink drawing practice. That body of work became Trip Number, his most personal and emotionally grounded art to date.
Dill is a dusty pickled Burner, lover of street art and style.
